Alabama Partnership for Children (APC)

Our mission is to work in partnership with other public and private entities to maintain an effective state and local system of resources and support that enables parents, families, and others who care for young children to ensure that they are healthy, protected, nurtured, and offered every opportunity to succeed in life.  The APC’s vision is to ensure that every Alabama child will have the opportunity to succeed in life.

APC is a state level non-profit agency supported by major child and family-serving state agencies working in partnership with the private sector to address the concerns of children from birth to five in Alabama.  Created to develop, design and implement a unified approach for improving outcomes of children from birth to age five, this public/private partnership is a distinct initiative to develop and strengthen systems, forge strategies and increase public awareness for all early care and education in Alabama.

VOICES for Alabama’s Children (VOICES)

Our mission is ensure the well-being of Alabama’s children through research, public awareness, and advocacy.

Established in 1992 through the vision of leading child advocates, VOICES for Alabama’s Children was the first, and remains the only, organization to document the health, safety, education, and economic conditions of children in each of our state’s 67 counties. From building public awareness to leading legislative advocacy efforts, all of VOICES’ activities are based on a solid foundation of research. The organization’s goal is to ensure that all Alabama children have the best chance to succeed in life.
